How to catch Peacock bass

Peacocks can be found in nearly every nook and cranny of the lake, Deep water, shallow, right up against the bank. Small spoons, poppers and spooks work best for them on bfs, whereas any kind of streamer or nymph is the way to go for fly. In the mid afternoon they get quite docile but start hunting vigourously in the later afternoons. They can be found in huge schools simming near underwater islands and structure. Skygazers are usually a by catch during the day and to target them successfuly requires a few hours of night fishing
